B/W photos are rare for me. Rare in the sense that I typically only like to publish one per show. Picking that perfect image and removing all color allows us to avoid distraction of all the lights and colors and focus on the moment. This is the one I chose for Clint Black. I had to do it, the name says it all. I selected this image from the Cadillac Three because let's face it, drummers are often ignored in concert photography. His eyes are closed, he's in the moment--I couldn't resist. I like this photo. I've analyzed it a lot. A rare instance where I chose two B/W from the same band. This particular shot is of the singer, with his girlfriend looking on from backstage. This is Phil Vassar. Great performer. The crowd just feeds of his energy and he wraps it up and gives it right back to them. It was amazing to see firsthand. This shot was taken right before the encore.
